I know; I know, it sounds crazy, but it’s true. As a genetically wired to clean Italian, I love a sparklingly shiny house. But I hate what most products do to our environment.
Until now! A company called ‘Goodbye Detergent’ has come up with the greatest cleaning tool ever made. I am in cleaning love! These environmentally friendly scrubbie things called ‘The Original Spaghetti Scrub’ have changed my life in the kitchen. Made from corn cobs, peach pits and walnut shells (among other recycled materials), these reusable scrubbers are ideal for everything from dishes to countertops to floors to cars. Made with natural abrasives, they are gentle on surfaces and as the cliché goes…tough on dirt. And they require about 80% less soap or detergent for use…so they save money and the environment.
‘Goodbye Detergent’ also makes an outdoor scrubber and one designed for the kitchen, but I am stuck on the ‘Spaghetti Scrub.’I have used mine for weeks now and unlike sponges, it has not taken on odors; it has held up like new and it does any job I take on.
Sold 2 to a completely recycled package (seriously, can it get better?), the ‘Original Spaghetti Scrub’ belongs in every kitchen. Sold on www.amazon.com for $10.99, it’s one of the best investments in a healthy kitchen and environment you will make.
