Better Than Milk Shakes

Yes, you read right. These frosty vegan treats are better than the real thing. So much healthier for you...and fun to make! 

Ingredients

1/2 cup non-dairy, grain-sweetened chocolate chips
1/2 cup unsweetened soymilk
3 tablespoons brown rice syrup
1 cup chocolate soy, coconut or rice 
ice cream'
1/2 cup unsweetened chocolate soymilk

Directions 
Place chocolate chips in a heat-resistant bowl. Bring soymilk and rice syrup to a boil and whisk into chocolate to create a smooth syrup. Cool to room temperature before proceeding.

Place all ingredients in a blender and beginning on low and gradually increasing to high, whip to creamy perfection. 

Makes 1 shake

Note: Vary the shakes by replacing chocolate with frozen strawberries, vanilla soy ice cream and soymilk. Make a vanilla shake by using vanilla ice cream and soymilk, 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract and 1 cup iced cubes.
